Taurus-Banner-225x50 Miami, FL- Taurus congratulates Grand Master and Taurus Team Captain Jessie Duff on her recent first place finish in Ladies Single Stack at the USPSA Area 6 Championship in Covington, GA.

The Area 6 Championship was held at the South River Gun Club, a range Duff grew up shooting on. The match attracted over 500 competitors of various skill levels. With the 2016 Single Stack Nationals only two weeks away, Duff was focused on competing in the Area 6 Championships in preparation for Nationals.

Her dedicated training regimen and shooting skills allowed Duff to stay on target, taking first place in the Ladies Single Stack and ninth overall in the Single Stack Division.

Duff competed with her Taurus PT1911 re-chambered in .38 Super Comp minor for this match.

“This championship served as a great baseline for the upcoming Nationals, giving me a good reference point of my performance level,” said Duff. “The match presented some challenges that I know I will face at the Nationals, with some longer than average shots and moving targets. With ten round magazine limits, this changes my match strategy and training.”

Duff’s next match appearance will be at the 2016 Single Stack Nationals May 4-7 at PASA Park in Barry, IL.
